Young communicators in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam can enter this contest.
The Asociation of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Foundation is accepting essays and campaign ideas describing a theme of “#ASEANYouth and COVID-19 ─ Response, recovery and resilience.”
The contest aims to share and promote fact-based and compelling messages demonstrating the importance of ASEAN youth in the efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
The contest will select up to 20 individuals to participate in a virtual workshop and implement a social awareness activity in their respective countries.
Contestants must be 18 to 30 years old on April 20. The interested participants are required to form a team of two from the same nationalities. Fluency in both spoken and written English is required. Full-time professional journalists working at established media outlets are not eligible to participate.
The deadline is Feb. 14.
