Journalists working for U.S. media outlets can apply for the Scripps Howard Awards.
The Scripps Howard Foundation recognizes high-impact reporting from print, broadcast or online media published in 2019.
The awards seek works from news organizations that go the extra mile to expose previously undisclosed or misunderstood information and journalists who embrace new tools, channels, technologies and approaches.
Cash prizes total US$170,000, across 16 categories, including the Impact Award for the best work among the winners. The "Topic of the year" category will be “The impact of climate change on communities."
The deadline is Feb. 7, 2020.
