Journalists and editors in Latin America can apply for this scholarship.
Cosecha Roja and Open Society Foundations' Independent Journalism program will select reporters and editors for an online training in the coverage of youth, inequality and poverty, violence against women, hate crimes and attacks to the LGBTQ community.
The program begins with a face-to-face meeting on Feb. 11 to 13, 2019 in Buenos Aires, followed by a four-month remote course that aims to help journalists produce a story from a human rights perspective. The stories resulting from the training will be published in Cosecha Roja and in the fellows' outlets.
The scholarship will cover the online course, meals, lodging and partial travel to Buenos Aires.
The deadline is Dec. 5.
