Journalists, editors and journalism educators worldwide can apply for a scholarship to attend an investigative reporting course.

Columbia Journalism School at Columbia University, with support from the TX Group and The Reynolds Foundation, is offering scholarships for its Summer Investigative Reporting Course. The program will be held at Columbia University in New York, July 7 to 25.

The course includes workshops that focus on developing a major project. Participants will learn to recognize when a story should be a long‐term project, how to use data to form the backbone of a story and techniques to reporting a deep investigation.

TX Group is supporting three scholarships. The Reynolds Foundation is funding six scholarships. The scholarships are open to investigative reporters and editors living and working in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. The TX Group is also offering scholarships to journalists in Asia.

All scholarships include tuition and course fees, economy airfare to New York City, ground transportation and lodging.

The deadline for the TX Group scholarships is April 30. The deadline for the Reynolds Foundation scholarships is May 15.
