Journalists in Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique and São Tomé and Principe can apply for this free program.

The International Center For Journalists (ICFJ), in partnership with the U.S. State Department’s Africa Regional Services (ARS), is organizing an in-depth training program in Portuguese for African journalists.

The program aims to equip journalists with resources, tools and knowledge covering existing and new challenges, such as COVID-19 and disinformation, as well as create lasting professional ties between African and American journalists.

Sessions will cover topics such as ethical newsgathering, investigative journalism, mobile journalism and media entrepreneurship.

The deadline is May 3.
