Experienced journalists based in Asia can apply for the regional positions.
Radio Free Asia (RFA) is seeking multiple English-language reporters and news editors in Northeast and Southeast Asia to break news, report feature stories and produce investigative reports that will be carried in English and translated while working in coordination with RFA’s nine language services.
These multiple openings include English news writers who will report and edit copy from the region and publish content on RFA’s website and social media platforms, an environmental correspondent based in Southeast Asia who will report on how the climate crisis is changing lives across the region, and correspondents, preferably based in Southeast Asia, to report on China’s influence in the region through infrastructure and investment; trade and economic policy; and soft power and diplomacy.
Working proficiency in a regional language is strongly preferred.
