Journalists, editors and independent news content producers from Uganda, with an interest in public accountability reporting, can apply for a fellowship.
The African Center for Media Excellence (ACME) is accepting applications for its Public Accountability Reporting Fellowship. The program is designed to strengthen journalists’ capacity to provide in-depth, evidence-based coverage of public accountability issues, with a particular focus on oversight, governance and service delivery.
Participating journalists will gain the skills and support necessary to examine government actions, track public expenditure, assess the effectiveness of policies and programs, and highlight gaps in service delivery.
The fellowship includes in-person training workshops, ongoing mentorship and coaching, and structured editorial support for story production.
In addition, the fellowship includes a structured training course, delivered in two five-day sessions. Session one runs March 17 to 21. Session two runs May 5 to 9.
The deadline is Feb. 26.
