Journalists who have reported on generalized pustular psoriasis, a rare skin condition, can compete for this prize.
Pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking entries for its 2023 Boehringer Ingelheim Journalism Prize. The prize is designed to recognize professionals working to strengthen health, wellbeing and science journalism in Brazil.
In its inaugural edition, the competition chose generalized pustular psoriasis as the central theme in order to raise awareness and advance information on a rare, serious, debilitating skin condition.
There are two categories to enter: print (newspapers, magazines, posters) or electronic media (websites, radio, podcasts, TV). Eligible works must have been published or broadcast between Jan. 1, 2023 and Nov. 15, 2023.
The winners in each category will receive BRL10,000 (first place), BRL7,500 (second place) and BRL5,000 (third place).
The application deadline is Nov. 16.
