Poynter offers workshop on covering climate change science [US]

Early- to mid-career journalists in the United States who are interested in climate change issues can apply.

Poynter, in partnership with the RAND Corporation, is offering the one-day workshop “Covering Climate Change Science and Policy in a Polarized World.”

Attendees will review the latest findings in climate science and policy; get a clear read on the latest climate science; gain a data-driven perspective on the pace of fossil fuel replacement; get the latest on carbon capture sequestration technology; and more.

The workshop will be held on Aug. 29 at the RAND Corporation in Arlington, Virginia.

Journalists living and working in Washington are encouraged to apply. 

The workshop is free.

The deadline is Aug. 14.
