Rising juniors and seniors at U.S. universities and recent graduates can apply to participate in a training program.
Politico magazine is organizing its journalism institute to train a new generation of reporters. The program will provide intensive, hands-on training to university students and graduates interested in covering government and politics.
The summer session will run May 30 to June 9, 2023.
Room, board and transportation will be provided. Students will split time between American University in Washington and Politico's headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
Student members of minority journalism associations are encouraged to apply. After completing the program, many students go on to internships or employment at Politico and at other news organizations.
The deadline is Dec. 5.
