Photography contest features culture of Louisiana [Worldwide]

Photographers who have captured photos showcasing the history and culture of Southeast Louisiana through the lens of journalism can compete for cash prizes.

The Press Club of New Orleans is accepting photography submissions for its open call for the upcoming P.5 Satellite Exhibit entitled, “Life Through the Lens.”  The competition’s final photography selections will be exhibited as part of Prospect New Orleans international triennial P.5, which will be available for viewing from Oct. 23, 2021 to Jan. 23, 2022 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The three-month photo exhibition will include a final exhibit featuring photography that explore the connections between the region’s past and present, focusing on issues of community and culture, environment and place, equity and resilience.

The first place winner will receive US$1,000 and the second place winner US$500.

A nonrefundable entry fee is required for photo submission.

The deadline is July 30.
