Hong Kong-based journalists interested in hearing from women journalists in Asia can attend this in-person event.
The Hong Kong International Literary Festival is organizing the in-person panel discussion "The Stories Women Journalists Tell" in Hong Kong on March 10.
At this event, three women journalists will share a behind-the-scenes look at their coverage of major events in Asia, giving the audience their unique perspective, voice, experience and insight into the male-dominant news industry.
Speakers include: Zela Chin, a multiple award-winning journalist currently producing TV reports on social issues and business stories in Asia for TVB Pearl; Jervina Lao, a Philippines-born veteran journalist currently based in Hong Kong as a freelance writer and editor with 20 years of experience covering major events in Asia; and Caitlin Liu, former staff writer at the Los Angeles Times and former editor at The New York Times and Forkast.
