Anyone can attend this event in Hong Kong.
The University of Hong Kong's Journalism and Media Studies Centre is organizing "The protest and the press" at 7 p.m. on Sept. 12 at its main campus. The event will be livestreamed on YouTube.
The session will cover how reporters can remain objective during the Hong Kong unrests when the media itself has become part of the story and taken strong stands.
Panelists include Antony Dapiran, a Hong Kong-based writer and lawyer; Jeffie Lam, a correspondent for the South China Morning Post; Francis Lee; director and professor at the School of Journalism and Communication; and Damon Pang, a journalist at Radio Television Hong Kong.
Registration is free, but spots are limited.
