Journalists from countries in Southern Africa can participate in an online training program.
Oxpeckers Investigative Environmental Journalism, in partnership with the Centre for Investigative Journalism's Open Climate Reporting Initiative, is offering the first training session of an exciting new and innovative climate crisis program, #PowerTracker.
The training session will focus on the topic “Data-driven reporting on green energy in Africa.”
In this first training module, participants will be introduced to Oxpeckers and some of its tools, learning how to use and apply these tools and techniques to their work, and get an overview of the #PowerTracker Training and Professional Support Program.
In addition, #PowerTracker will collect data on renewable energy projects in Southern Africa being funded by corporations, governments and other parties.
The online training will be held June 9.
Registration is ongoing.
