Online workshop covers racism, discrimination [Latin America]

Journalists, journalism students, media professionals and anyone interested can register for this online training in Spanish.

Escuela de Periodismo Portátil organizes the workshop "Understanding racism. Discrimination in Latin America" with journalist an author Marco Avilés. The workshop will last five weeks starting May 26.

The training aims to motivate participants to be agents of change by creating spaces in their respective environments to reflect on racism as a structural problem in the region.

Participants will work on a personal writing or communication project, according to their interests. Possible projects include a nonfiction story, a journal, an essay, a YouTube channel, a podcast or more.

Registration costs US$75. Alumni of Escuela Portátil will pay US$65.
