Journalists residing in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Chile can apply for this free training in Spanish.

Efecto Cocuyo and DW Akademie, with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office, have launched the "Puentes de Comunicación" project, with the aim of supporting media organizations in covering migration with a focus on the human experience.

The first initiative of the project is a virtual course on migration coverage, focused on the reality of Venezuelan migrants in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Chile.

Up to 50 applicants will be selected. The course will run from July to August, in addition to two weeks to complete the final work.

The authors of the best 10 final works will receive a grant of EUR1,200 (US$1,332) to carry out an investigative piece on Venezuelan migration in their countries of residence.

The deadline is June 21.
