Journalists from selected South Asian countries can apply for the online training program.
Thomson Reuters Foundation (TRF), in partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), is offering a training program for journalists to expand their expertise in reporting about social inclusion as the countries emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The training will be delivered to two groups of journalists during the weeks of July 18 to 22 and July 25 to 29.
The course will draw on contemporary best practices of good reporting and writing, and will also focus on the use of data and digital assets, as well as online safety for journalists. There will be learning, observation and discussion.
On the final day, participants will pitch a story idea and receive feedback from TRF trainers.
Applicants must have a minimum of two years’ professional experience and a good level of spoken and written English.
Apply by June 12.
