Working journalists in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas can apply for this free online training in Spanish.
As part of the Mexico Border Investigative Reporting Hub Project, the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), the Border Center for Journalists and Bloggers and the Center for Digital Journalism at the University of Guadalajara are offering the online course "Journalism to Investigate Corruption."
The course will be held Oct. 18 to Nov. 28. Participants will learn how to approach an investigation, how to use data analysis and visualization tools, and how to protect their information, their integrity and that of their sources.
Some of the instructors are Jorge Luis Sierra, Sandra Crucianelli and Priscila Cárdenas.
The deadline to apply is Oct. 13.
