Journalism students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) are eligible for a fellowship.

The Online News Association (ONA) is accepting applications for the HBCU Digital Media Fellowship, sponsored by the Knight Foundation.

Five fellows will receive complimentary registration to the ONA24 Conference, Sept. 18 to 21 in Atlanta and free ONA student membership for one year.

The fellowship is centered on a highly-engaged conference experience for students, with a focus on the evolving nature of online journalism. The fellows work with mentors to produce multimedia packages for the conference.

Fellows also participate in networking and receive training from industry leaders.

The deadline is May 30.
