The New York Times seeks research reporter [Senegal]

Journalists fluent in English and French with knowledge of West Africa can apply for this position.

The New York Times is looking for a full-time reporter/researcher for a one year fixed term contract for its Senegal office in Dakar.

Responsibilities include working closely with the bureau chief, correspondents and editors to identify, research and write high-impact stories for any and all media. 

The ideal candidate has familiarity with research tools such as Factiva and Nexis, ability to analyze data, and knowledge of other regional languages, especially Hausa and Pulaar.
