Students, bloggers, artists and writers can submit their innovative storytelling to a contest.
The Media School at Bournemouth University is accepting entries for its New Media Writing Prize (NMWP).
NMWP is looking for innovative and interactive storytelling (fiction or nonfiction) written specifically for delivery and reading/viewing on a PC or Mac, the web or a hand-held device such as an iPad or mobile phone.
Entries can be a short story, novel, poem, narrative game, documentary or transmedia work using words, images, film or animation with audience interaction.
The winner of the if:book Chris Meade Memorial UK New Media Award will receive GBP1,000 (US$1,260). The winners of the Opening Up, Digital Journalism and the IDN Social Good Awards will receive GBP500 (US$630) each.
The general deadline is Feb. 1, 2024.
