Directors and producers of short and feature films celebrating sexual diversity can participate in this festival.
The Mix Brasil Festival, organized by Associação Cultural Mix Brasil, will take place Nov. 13 to 20 in São Paulo and will tour in other Brazilian cities.
The festival is inviting short films and features produced in Brazil and worldwide after January 2017. Foreign films must have subtitles in Portuguese.
Among the prizes are the Golden Rabbit, Silver Rabbit, Suzy Capó Prize, Gongo Show Prize, Canal Brasil (BRL15,000) and Sesc TV Prize. (BRL5,000 and a two-year exhibition contract), Mistika Prize (BRL5,000), CTAV Prize (equipment loan) and DOTCINE Prize (for short films: color correction and master DCP; and for features: master DCP).
The deadline is Aug. 15.
