Journalists anywhere in Brazil can apply for these microgrants.
Plano Nordeste Potência, an initiative promoting inclusive and fair transition, is seeking story pitches that address the question: "How solar power has changed or is changing small rural communities in Northeastern Brazil?"
Submitted proposals must focus on projects based on climate justice that foster the local economy and/or uncover abusive practices. Story ideas can be in any format: digital, print, photo, audio and video.
Three pitches will be selected and receive BRL5,0000 each. Stories must be published by March 31.
The application deadline is Jan. 15.
