Seasoned environmental journalists can apply for this mentoring program.
The Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (Abraji) is seeking mentors for its Environmental Advocates project, which offers grants for investigative environmental reporting on the Amazon.
Selected journalists will mentor the grantees throughout the reporting process. Mentors will be responsible for offering guidance and assistance up until the stories are published, no later than Jan. 31, 2025.
Ideal candidates must have at least five years of experience covering environmental stories.
The application deadline is Aug. 16.
