Journalists in the MENA region, especially those who have promising media projects, can register to attend trainings within the first phase of the Mentoring Center Program for Media Startups.
IJNet Arabic’s Mentoring Center for Media Startups is offering training sessions for all journalists in the Middle East. The sessions will cover the basics of launching media projects, how to create a marketing plan, building brands and online reputation, how to write proposals for donors, e-commerce and other topics that help in media sustainability.
Training sessions will be held remotely and broadcast via Zoom, the IJNet Facebook page, and the Pamela Howard Forum page, from May 30 to July 4, as follows:

- Register for the second session on branding and utilizing e-commerce, on June 6, here.
- Register for the third session on writing proposals for donors, on June 13, here.
- Register for the fourth session on journalism and algorithms, and SEO, on June 20, here.
- Register for the fifth session on social media management and audience engagement on July 4, here.
After the sessions, participants will receive certificates and media startup owners who attended the training will be eligible to apply to the Mentoring Center Program's second phase. Some applicants will be selected for the 10-month mentorship phase to develop their projects.
This phase will include a two-day in-person training, attendance at the ARIJ forum in Jordan and networking with experts and journalists worldwide. Afterwards, participants will attend online trainings, graduate and receive a seed funding.
