Mental health survey launched for journalists [Latin America]

Posted on May 13, 2025 in Digital and Physical Safety

Journalists working in Latin America are invited to complete this survey.

Free Press Unlimited (FPU), along with researcher Rogelio Flores Morales from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), are conducting a pioneering study on the psychosocial impact of working as a journalist in Latin America. The study focuses on how journalists' mental health is affected by their profession and aims to identify ways to better support them.

The survey is anonymous, voluntary and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. At the end, participants will receive a summary of their scores related to anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and resilience.

No personal data will be collected; all information will be used solely for research purposes and deleted once the study is complete.
