Posted on Aug 12, 2024 in Environmental Reporting

Journalists from Belize, the Dominican Republic, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago can participate in an online workshop.

Climate Tracker is offering the Caribbean Energy Transition Media Workshop and Mentorship. The workshop will engage journalists in expanding their knowledge of the Caribbean’s energy needs and resources, and the scientific, political, economic, human and social dimensions of the adaptation and resilience measures that will need to be taken as part of the region’s energy transition.

In addition, the workshop seeks to sharpen journalists’ skills in information gathering, reporting and explaining – to support them in communicating these complex issues with various audiences.

Forty journalists will be selected. Following the workshop, nine journalists will be selected to participate in Caribbean Energy Transition Media Mentorship.

The deadline is Aug. 23.
