Environmental journalists across Africa can apply for a virtual workshop.
Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is hosting a virtual media workshop on covering great apes and One Health in Africa. The workshop is part of EJN’s project Empowering Media for the Conservation of Great Apes in Africa.
Participating journalists will gain a better understanding of the diseases threatening both wild and captive apes; learn more about One Health at the human-ape interface; and understand the latest research efforts, ethical considerations and scientific findings related to great ape health and welfare.
The workshop will be held in May. Thirty to 40 journalists will be selected to participate.
The deadline is Feb. 26.
