Media organizations focusing on environmental reporting in Nepal can compete for a grant.
As part of its Media for Inclusive Green Growth (MIGG) in Nepal project and Asia-Pacific project, Internews' Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is accepting proposals from Nepali media outlets for new media programming on natural resource management and green growth.
EJN is seeking applications for work that increases the capacity of the media in Nepal to provide innovative and solutions-oriented information on green growth and natural resource management to the public and policymakers.
Five grants of EUR4,500 each would be awarded for this round. Selected media outlets are expected to each design and pilot a new program, producing at least two stories or episodes as proof of concept. Proposed media products that amplify the voices and perspectives of marginalized and minority communities are particularly welcome.
Media outlets in Nepal – including newspapers, online media, radio, television, multimedia platforms, and social media channels – are welcome to apply.
The call for proposals is also available in Nepali.
The application deadline is April 10.
