Journalists and media outlets in Africa can submit entries and compete for awards.
The World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa is accepting entries for the first Regional Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Champion Journalist and Media House Awards, organized jointly by quadripartite (FAO, UNEP, WOAH, WHO) and the African Union.
These awards will recognize outstanding contributions in raising awareness about AMR and promoting responsible journalism in the field.
Works can be submitted in two categories: Regional AMR Champion Journalist Award and Regional AMR Champion Media House Award.
Entries must have been published or broadcast between Jan. 1, 2022 and Sept. 30, 2023. Submissions can include articles, news reports, TV or radio segments, documentaries, podcasts or online multimedia content.
The deadline is Oct. 30.
