The responsibilities of the editor will include steering the editorial production of the daily, English-language press briefing, the Mada Morning Digest, which consists primarily of setting editorial throughlines for coverage of the most important affairs in Egypt.
The applicants should demonstrate a keen sense of politics and current affairs rooted in a focus on what is published in Egypt’s domestic press and in regional outlets, and an ability to situate news events in their narrative and political context.
