Local news organizations facing financial difficulties can apply for this program.
The Solutions Journalism Network (SJN), with support from the Google News Initiative, has launched the Local Newsroom Revenue Project.
Selected newsrooms will receive small grants, training and coaching to support solutions journalism projects and business experiments.
Candidates must serve people from at least one of the following categories: rural areas, news deserts, communities struggling to access news; African American, Latino/a/x, Native American or immigrant communities; or socio-economically deprived urban area.
The deadline is Nov. 30.
