Journalists and others interested in verifying information in the digital age can participate in this four-week course.
The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), is offering the free course “Navigating misinformation: how to identify and verify what you see on the web" March 25 to April 21.
The course is divided into four modules covering: discovery of problematic content, basic verification of online sources, advanced verification of online sources and ethical considerations and challenges.
The instructor is Claire Wardle, who leads the strategic direction and research for First Draft.
The course is accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
