Knight Center hosts MOOC on visual journalism [Worldwide]

Journalists and others interested in photography in the digital age can participate in this four-week course.

The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), is offering the free course “Visual journalism: looking at the other in the age of selfie" March 4 to 31.

The course is divided into four modules covering: the history and ethics of photojournalism and documentary photography; the self-portrait versus the selfie; the importance of strong visuals and the photobook, following the documentary project from idea to completion; and reaching audiences on social network platforms as well as traditional media.

The instructor is João Pina, an award-winning photographer from Portugal. 

The course is accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
