The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), is offering a free course on fact-checking and data journalism Nov. 19 to Dec. 16.
Instructor Laura Zommer, director of Chequeado, will teach participants the history of fact-checking and data journalism, methods of verification of public discourse, how to deal with misinformation and the best formats to publish fact-checks and innovative data journalism projects that engage the audience.
Participants may complete the course's weekly activities at their own pace.
