Women journalists with at least three years of experience can apply for this fund.
The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) is accepting applications for the Kim Wall Memorial Fund, established in honor of the award-winning Swedish journalist who covered important, underreported stories from around the world.
Two US$5,000 grants will be awarded to fund stories on subcultures, broadly defined, and “the undercurrents of rebellion," carrying forward Wall's legacy. Grantees will also be paired with a mentor to assist them in their reporting.
The fund may cover reporting-related costs including travel (flights, ground transportation, drivers), logistics, visa fees and payment for fixers/translators.
The deadline is Jan. 16, 2021.
