Journalists eligible for environmental fellowships and grants [US]

Posted on Feb 5, 2024 in Environmental Reporting

Journalists of color who cover environmental issues can apply for a fellowship and be eligible for a US$2,000 grant.

The Uproot Project is offering the Environmental Justice Fellowship. This fellowship will offer funding to seven journalists to pursue reporting projects over the course of a year.

Fellows’ projects should focus on stories related to environmental justice — highlighting how the climate crisis and key environmental issues of our time are inextricably linked with other forms of inequity.

Interested applicants must be members of The Uproot Project.

The application deadline is March 1.
