Journalists who are citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan can apply.

The European Union – Central Asia Water, Environment and Climate Change Cooperation (WECOOP) project, funded by the European Union, launches the contest for journalists "Switching to renewable energy sources — our contribution to carbon neutrality."

Entries must be published or broadcast from June 1, 2021, to May 27, 2022, in Russian or English. Entries in Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Turkmen, and Uzbek are also accepted if they are translated into Russian or English.

Six winners will be selected to participate in an international study tour, where they will learn about available EU technologies and expertise in renewable energy and energy efficiency.

The deadline is May 27.
