Journalists and scholars with original research could be published in a journal.
The International Symposium on Online Journalism, organized by the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, seeks research papers on the topic of "Power, privilege and patriarchy in journalism: Dynamic of media control, resistance and renewal.”
Authors are encouraged to include multimedia elements such as videos, interactive infographics, audio files or any other elements to complement traditional text articles. Submissions must be written in English.
The 21th ISOJ conference, to be held April 24 and 25, 2020 at the University of Texas at Austin, mixes academic research and panel discussions with scholars and journalists from universities and news organizations worldwide.
The papers selected by an international blind review process will be presented at the conference.
The deadline to submit an abstract is Aug. 23.
