Journalism bootcamp on biodiversity destruction [Malaysia, Indonesia]

Posted on Apr 1, 2022 in Environmental Reporting

Journalists reporting on biodiversity in Indonesia and/or Malaysia can apply for this virtual bootcamp.

Thomson Reuters Foundation is accepting applications for a journalism bootcamp, provided by the Exploring the Profit and Loss of Biodiversity Destruction program. The program is funded by Porticus.

The bootcamp offers an excellent opportunity for journalists and civil society organizations to collaborate towards the mitigation of the loss of biodiversity in their countries and globally. Led by world-class trainers and experts, the bootcamp will be conducted over three consecutive days, June 8 to 10.

Interested journalists should have experience or a strong interest in biodiversity and climate change, businesses and social performance, and/or human rights.

Participants must be based in Indonesia or Malaysia (or covering specifically these countries) as full-time journalists or regular contributors to media organizations.

The bootcamp is free. Selected participants will receive a GBP300 production grant.

Apply by April 30.
