Journalists in the United States, Asia and the Pacific Islands can apply for a fellowship.
The East-West Center presents the Jefferson Fellowships, a three-week seminar and travel program for journalists to broaden their understanding of Asia Pacific issues and build a professional network.
The 2018 program will take place April 21 to May 12, focusing on "Migration policy and public sentiment."
Up to four U.S. journalists and up to 10 journalists from Asia Pacific will travel to Honolulu, Hawaii; Seoul, South Korea; Manila, Philippines; Sydney, Australia. Airfare, lodging, per diem and most other program expenses will be covered.
Working print, broadcast and online journalists with at least five years of experience and English fluency are eligible.
The deadline is Feb. 7.
