Female journalists of all nationalities can apply for a grant.
The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) is accepting applications for the Howard G. Buffett Fund, which aims to support women journalists in their reporting projects and professional development opportunities.
Grant amounts will depend on the proposal and the inclusion of a detailed budget.
Possible projects include exposing underreported local issues with critical global angle; undertaking collaborative, ambitious reporting projects; and pursuing virtual skills training, develop expertise and strengthen careers.
Applicants must have at least one year of professional journalism experience. Teams of journalists may apply, but the submission must be from a woman journalist and her team must include at least 50 percent women.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
