Editors and news directors can apply for training for their newsrooms.
Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) is offering its Total Newsroom Training program. This grant-funded program brings an IRE trainer to newsrooms in-person or virtually for two days of intense watchdog training, at no cost.
Preference will be given to newsrooms in rural areas and smaller cities, smaller newsrooms in large markets, and newsrooms founded and run by those coming from and serving historically marginalized communities.
Training must be completed by December 2024.
The deadline is Feb. 17.
