Investigative journalism training for Syrian women journalists [MENA]

Syrian women journalists inside and outside Syria can apply to attend an online training.

The Syrian Investigative Reporting for Accountability Journalism (SIRAJ) is accepting applications for its online investigative journalism training.

Trainees will learn the skills of formulating and testing investigative reporting hypotheses, how to deal with sources and how to write investigative reports. In addition, trainees will also attend sessions on investigative journalism work ethics.

The training will last six months, with the first three months focusing on theoretical and practical exercises, while the trainees work on investigative reports in the other three months.

Applicants should have previous experience in journalism and present a new investigative story idea.

The application deadline is Jan. 31.
