Investigative journalism training program focuses on financial crime [Europe]

Early to mid-career investigative journalists across Europe can apply for a training program.

The Civil Forum for Asset Recovery (CiFAR) is accepting applications for its fifth investigative journalism program. Participants will build their knowledge on corruption, asset recovery and financial investigations, and receive support to work in teams to develop, write, pitch and publish stories on financial crime.

This hybrid training and mentoring program includes a five-day online training May 15 to 19; a five-day in-person training in Nairobi, Kenya June 17 to 21; mentoring support to produce cross-regional investigations; and small grants to kickstart research and fundraising support for projects.

Travel and accommodation costs for selected applicants will be covered.
