Journalists working in rural Uganda can pitch investigative stories for a chance to participate in a fellowship.
The African Institute for Investigative Journalism (AIIJ) is accepting pitches on corruption and accountability, climate change and environmental crime, human rights violations and access to justice. Fifteen journalists will be selected to participate in AIIJ’s fellowship program.
The fellowship provides journalists with three days of vigorous training from expert trainers. After the training, each journalist will be given a small grant to produce an investigative story.
Each journalist will be assigned a mentor.
The selected journalists will be given at least four months to produce their investigation.
The application deadline is June 13.
