Instituto Prensa y Sociedad has launched a new edition of the Latin American Investigative Journalism Award "Javier Valdez."
The award aims to encourage greater transparency in government, business and media as well as to promote investigative reporting on matters of public interest.
Investigative stories published or broadcast between Oct. 1, 2019 and Aug. 31, 2020 in Spanish, Portuguese or English are eligible. Reporters can submit work done independently or in teams.
The winner will receive US$5,000.
The deadline is Oct. 5.
