Internews offers grants for journalism projects [Kazakhstan]

Independent individual journalists and media teams registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan can apply.

Internews in Kazakhstan, through its program "Small and Big Format – 2024," offers grants for content production.

Possible areas include data verification and the fight against disinformation; counter propaganda and manipulation and recognizing their impact on people's lives and health; explaining the importance of media literacy to representatives of different groups of society, and more.

Proposals must be in Kazakh or Russian.

The "small format" project must last one to three months, and the "large format" — six to nine months.

The grant amount for one project in "small format" is from KZT500,000 to KZT3 million. Within the "large format" — up to KZT7 million.

The deadline is Dec. 31.
