Media outlets, collectives and organizations are invited to submit proposals.
Meedan is launching the 2024 Independent Media Response Fund (IMRF) call for proposals to strengthen hyperlocal groups’ ability to anticipate and prepare for intersectional crises — and to elevate their capacity to respond to these issues.
Applicants are invited to engage in creative and impactful work on hyperlocal preparedness to promote anticipation and action.
Proposals for podcasts, investigative content, audiovisual reports, written pieces, information hubs, campaigns, offline training, massive open online courses, projects centered on dataset creation and annotation, and toolkits are welcome.
Ten proposals will receive awards up to US$10,000 each.
The deadline is July 25.
