Posted on Apr 12, 2024 in Crisis Reporting

It has been six months since the October 7 Hamas attacks in Israel, and the start of the large-scale Israeli bombing campaign and ground invasion in Gaza that has created a humanitarian crisis for Palestinians that continues to this day.

Nearly 100 journalists and media workers – 90 of them Palestinian – have been killed, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists.

What challenges do Palestinian and Israeli journalists face when attempting to factually represent conditions on the ground? How can international journalists best communicate the war to their audiences? IJNet's Pamela Howard Crisis Reporting Forum panel will bring together experienced reporters to dive into these questions, and more.
